my childhood next-door-neighbour, ellie anglin, is an incredible writer/zine-creator/adorer of cats.  among her many projects, she writers this wonderful blog CATS OF PARKDALE.  i was reminded of it on christmas day over turkey and tofu on Mary St. Waterloo.
