how’d i get so lucky?
this song by david myles! i just discovered it through the cbcradio3 podcast with grant lawrence. rich in time—i love the sentiment and the lifestyle.
things near my desk 1: the hippest ink drawing
sweet ink drawing by a young, local artist. happened upon this open artist studio on noble st. at nuit blanche—pretty sure it was an off-event—either way, i had have this perfect rendering by tiffany huta.
cinema club: pina
this one blew my mind. her work is fearless, filled with deep, tireless searching, sorrow, joy, passion and curiosity. it’s scary, haunting and delightful. so glad to have seen this.

i’ve been reading more about pina and her life, something she said about movement has really stuck with me: “i am not interested in how people move; i am interested in what makes them move.”
cinema club: monsieur lazhar
in recent weeks i have delved into cinema in an unexpected and unlikely way. it has been excellent. this film in particular was stunning with its sparse dialogue and stunning complexities—nothing precious, no moment of indulgence.

i’ve missed this face around TO
glad to see her surface again.
this reads “i miss the cause” i think… little blurred in this picture. will return to dundas and ossington soon no doubt and will clarify.
williams & the wooster group
dying to see this:
The Wooster Group’s Version of Tennessee Williams’ Vieux Carré
and it’s coming to TO soon!
GATZ
want to see this epic production by the elevator repair service-badly. especially after my own investigation of fitzgerald’s novel and simon levy’s adaptation for the stage. this sounds amazing.

strange lass and her emu
i can’t stop. this blog has the best illustrations.
